16 day tour package from Casablanca to Marrakech. Your local tour guide will make sure that you have an unique experience, as if you were a native too.
We will discover the secrets of Casablanca’s Hassan II Mosque, the second largest in the Arab world then we will drive to the city of Rabat, Meknes and Fez exploring Arabic monuments, Kasbahs and imperial cities once home to powerful sultans. On the way we will stop at the Roman ruins of Volubilis, once home to the Roman empire declared an UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997 exploring the historical significance of this monument for Morocco.
You will walk the streets, corners and alleyways of Fez, Ait Benhaddou and Essaouira with a local experiencing historic khans, medresses and medinas like a native Moroccan in the Middle Ages. Many of these scenic spots have been used as film sets for various Hollywood movies.
FInally, we will ease in to our Merzouga desert adventure first visiting the small village of Midelt located in the Atlas Mountains at a high altitude of 1500 meters, where we will go hiking and visiting Berber villages on the way. Furthermore, we will head to the Merzouga desert with a camel ride in the large dunes of the Sahara. We will get to stay one night in our desert camp with dinner and local music under the stars.

DAY 1: CASABLANCA
Your first day is an arrival day, we will ensure our tour representative picks you up from Casablanca Airport at the arrival time of your flight.
We will drop you at your hotel and the rest of the day free for you to explore your surroundings. Your tour leader will contact you in the evening explaining the meeting time for the next day.
Note: Hotel check-ins are normally available after midday

DAY 2: CASABLANCA - RABAT - MEKNES
The first place we will visit in Casablanca will be the unique Mosque of Hassan II, the second largest mosque in size after Mecca accomodating 25,000 worshippers since 1993. We will then drive to Rabat, known as the first imperial city and elegant capital of Morocco with its fine Arabic monuments before driving to Meknes, we will stop over at the Kasbah des Oudaias, a worthy visit.

DAY 3: MEKNES - VOLUBILIS - FEZ
In Meknes, we will walk through the charming streets in the area of the old medina.
From Meknes, we will head to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, once a Roman capital and distant outpost of the empire. An impressive Roman site in Morocco declared an UNESCO World Heritage in 1997.
Similarly, we will explore public Moroccan buildings and the House of Orpheus with mosaic designs and floors still well preserved.
We will then continue our journey to Fez for the night .

DAY 4: FEZ
Fez is a fascinating city, which will fulfill all your five senses. Fez is charming, vibrant and noisy considered to be the spiritual heart of Morocco made up of three distinct cities. Old Fez is even more fascinating, as it is known as Fes el Bali the medieval city with world class centres of education and culture boasting legendary manuscripts. The mosques in Fes el Bali are grand.
You will walk the streets, corners and alleyways of Fez with a local experiencing historic khans, medresses and medinas like a native Moroccan in the Middle Ages. Today will be spent with an adventure of museum like the Belghazi, Medresse el Attarine and Funduk Neijarine.
We will return to the hotel in late afternoon.

DAY 5: FEZ (MOULAY YACOUB OR SEFROU)
Today, we will get to visit Fes el Jedid, the New City, a city constructed and planned by the Merenids dynasty in the 13th and 14th century. The main gateway of Bab Boujeloud will lead us into streets with public and private gardens,
Later we have the choice of relaxing in the spa village of Moulay Yacoub, where you can swim and have a traditional hot bath in a Moroccan thermal bath. OR we have the choice of visiting Sefrou a village located 30 kilometers away from Fez.

DAY 6: FEZ - MIDELT
Today we will leave Fez to drive towards the south observing spectacular sceneries all the way upto Midelt.
Midelt is a small market town located between the Atlas and Anti-Atlas Mountains at a high altitude of 1500 meters. A great place to rest and walk around experiencing the wildlife. The locals who live here are Berber living in the countryside surrounded by greenery and nature.
After having lunch, we can hike in the hills to let our legs loose from the long drive.

DAY 7: MIDELT - MERZOUGA
In Midelt, we will have time to haggle for carpets (Kilims), hike and visit a convent, where sisters teach girls artisan skills like tapestry and embroidery.
After having explored Midelt, we will drive towards Merzouga, where we will drop off the gear at a simple hostel and then go for a camel ride into the Sahara Desert to enjoy the spectacular views and sunset all the way.
The dunes are massive and normally have a reddish / orange colour, absolutely stunning. Therefore, tonight we will camp in the desert enjoying live Berber music, drums and dancing under the shiny stars.

DAY 8: TODRA GORGES - DADES VALLEY - M'GOUN VALLEY
Today, we will wake up early in the desert to watch the sunrise today before we ride our camels and return to the hostel making our way towards the palm trees of Todra Gorges, a trench rising over 250 meters being one of the most natural sights in Morocco. We will take a walk in this area before driving towards Dades Valley, stopping for breaks, photos and continuing our adventure to M’goun valley, where we will sleep in a Berber house.

DAY 9: FULL DAY WALK M'GOUN VALLEY
On this day, we will have a free day to adventure ourselves into the beautiful high mountainous area of M’goun valley, a great way to do it is trekking. We recommend walking a 10 kilometer route with a duration of about 4 hours passing Berber villages and observing the beautiful scenery of the famous Rose valley.

DAY 10: SKOURA - AIT BENHADDOU
On departure from Dades valley we will drive through the road of the 1000 kasbahs stopping at Skoura an oasis full of private owned Kasbahs. We will visit the magical Kasbah Ameridhl decorated extravagantly and with mud-brick fortifications.
We will continue our journey heading towards Ait Benhaddou, the greatest paradox of Morocco. A place, which has been filmed in so many Hollywood Blockbusters. Definitely a worthwhile visit and a spectacular sight of Morocco. We will also walk through the old town before staying in our nearby hotel in the night.

DAY 11: AIT BENHADDOU - MARRAKECH
In the morning, we will start our drive to Marrakech through the zig zag roads of the Atlas mountains. We will have plenty of opportunities to stop over for photographs, as the view is picturesque perfect to share with family and friends.
When we arrive Marrakech you will be checked in your beautiful Riad hotel. In the evening you are free to visit Jemaa el Fna square the largest public space in the world, where at night time everything comes alive with musicians, snake charmers, dancers and hundreds of small restaurants outdoor.

DAY 12: MARRAKECH
After enjoying breakfast at your Riad Hotel you will get to meet your Marrakech local guide for a tour to the old medina visiting the Bahia Palace, a mansion built with inner courtyards and fragrant with flowers. There are many chambers and rooms making up this luxurious home.
We will then head towards the Marrakech Museum to discover Moroccan art and sculpture.
The rest of the day is for you to explore.

DAY 13 - 14: ESSAOUIRA
Today we will head to Essaouira for our further exploration of Morocco. The narrow streets makes us feel like the old days when the sea was invaded with pirates. The port has a massive commercial scale with fresh fishes being catched daily to be auctioned in the market. You will also be able to find shops, art galleries and restaurants.
The tour guide will take you through this maze city showing you all the options available for sightseeing.

DAY 15: ESSAOUIRA - MARRAKECH
The morning is free for our leisure time and to further privately explore the city of Essaouira. In the afternoon we will depart towards Marrakech. Once in our hotel we will walk through the medina and the famous squares enjoying the outdoor vibrance a great way to finish your adventure.

DAY 16: MARRAKECH
Your trip ends today, after breakfast we will check-out around 12.00 noon and you are free to leave at any time.
If you have arranged a private airport transfer you will be advised of the pick-up time. Additional accommodation can be pre-booked if you wish to spend more time exploring Marrakech.
